: Set shortly after the battle with the RDA in the oceans, Jake Sully and Neytiri face a new, darker challenge on Pandora. The story is narrated by their son, Lo'ak, as the family encounters the "Ash People" (the Mangkwan clan)—a volatile and aggressive tribe of Na'vi who live near volcanoes and worship fire. While the Sullys seek a new path for survival, Colonel Quaritch forms a dangerous alliance with the Ash People's leader, Varang. This time, the threat doesn't just come from humans, but from within the Na'vi themselves, forcing Jake and his family to realize that not all of Pandora is united under the peace of Eywa.
